The Story of Heath Hills

Heath Hills was built in 1751 and still has lots of its original charm and quirkiness. Being as old as it is there are some un level floors and low doorways to some rooms also various steps throughout which add to the charm. Part of the house was extended in around 1993 by Rosemary Henderson and her husband Bill. Rosemary was a keen horse rider and kept many herself one including Fiddlers Pike - Magnus as she called him here at Heath Hills. He was given to her by friends after Bill, an equine vet spent much time treating him. After a meal with neighbors Rosemary was persuaded to enter him in to the 1996 Grand National where she finished 5 out of 40 starters and for many years was the highest placed woman jockey in the world famous race. There is an old cob barn in the court yard which is named after the famous horse himself. The house itself has been lovingly renovated and modernized over the years but still has that cozy cottage feel throughout.
